Alendronic Acid 70 mg Tablets, with the brand name “ROFOS-70”, are widely prescribed by healthcare professionals for the treatment of osteoporosis (bone thinning as well as weakening) in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures. This table is a once-weekly prescription medication. It strengthens bones, making them less likely to break. Alendronic acid is a bisphosphonate, which slows down the natural breakdown and reabsorption of bone tissue. It restores the balance between bone breakdown and rebuilding, thereby strengthening bones as well as decreasing the risk of fractures in certain conditions such as osteoporosis. It is the process that becomes imbalanced, with more bone being lost than formed, which leads to weak as well as brittle bones.
Make sure you consult with a doctor before starting the course of Alendronic acid 70mg dosage. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage, as consuming more can adversely impact the patient’s health. There are certain side effects of consuming this medication, like bloating, headache, diarrhoea, and constipation, which fade away in a few days, but if they persist for a long time, then you must seek advice from a doctor.
