Levofloxacin
Levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that acts by killing disease causing bacteria. It is prescribed in cases of chest infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections & in various other bacterial infections

Indication of LEVOCHEM-500

For the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains of the following organisms:

• Corynebacterium species, Staphylococus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus (Groups C/F/G), Viridans group streptococci, Acinetobacter lwoffii, Haemophilus influenzae, Serratia marcescens.
• Levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that acts by killing disease causing bacteria. It is prescribed in cases of chest infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections & in various other bacterial infections

Side Effects

Most commonly reported side effects are Diarrhoea, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Dyspepsia, Oral Candidiasis, Vaginal candidiasis, other fungal infections, Insomnia, Metallic taste, Anaemia, Pruritus & Rash.
