Calcium carbonate is an inorganic salt used as an antacid. It is a basic compound that acts by neutralizing hydrochloric acid in gastric secretions. Subsequent increases in pH may inhibit the action of pepsin. An increase in bicarbonate ions and prostaglandins may also confer cytoprotective effects. Calcium carbonate may also be used as a nutritional supplement or to treat hypocalcemia.

Calcitriol(form of Vitamin D3) and Zinc. CRCAL-K2 tablets are indicated in bone loss (Osteoporosis), weak bones (Osteomalacia/Rickets), hypoparathyroidism, Postmenopausal women and for people on steroids or anti-epileptic drugs.Derivative of 7-dehydroxycholesterol formed by ultraviolet rays breaking of the C9-C10 bond. It differs from ergocalciferol in having a single bond between C22 and C23 and lacking a methyl group at C24.
Folic acid is used in the treatment and prevention of folate deficiencies and megaloblastic anemia.

Indication of CRCAL-K2
CRCAL-K2 indicated for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and in reducing the risk of fractures.For relief of heartburn and acid indigestion. May also be used as a nutritional supplement or to treat hypocalcemia. For the treatment of vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency, refractory rickets ,familial hypophosphatemia and hypoparathyroidism, and in the management of hypocalcemia and renal osteodystrophy in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing dialysis.
Side Effects
Common side effects are diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach and abdominal pain.
